A Day of Idols, Energy, and Surprises!
Mirai-kei Aidoru Special Live
On January 25th, we had the pleasure of attending Mirai-kei Aidoru Special Live 2nd Season #20 at Yokohama Bronth Live!
This taiban event (対バン – a gathering where multiple idol groups perform back-to-back) is organized by MFIVE, a company we have a close relationship with. They are the idol branch of Mages Inc., known for producing Junjo no Afilia and Iketeru Hearts, two of our favorites at BONJOUR IDOL.
Having worked with them for the past ten years, we wanted to help promote their newest groups, Baby’z Breath and Next⭐︎Rico, to the world. That’s why we decided to attend this full-day event in late January.
Since idol groups from other agencies were also performing, we took many photos throughout the day. Rather than our usual live report, this article will be more of a summary, where we introduce and highlight some of the groups for you!
Baby’z Breath
Seven days before this event, we attended their one-man tour finale in Kawasaki. You can read our full report here!
This time, Ichigo was unfortunately unable to attend the show, so the remaining five members took full command of the stage with their radiant smiles and boundless energy as the final performers of the night.
This was our last time seeing them on stage—for now—but we will definitely continue to follow their journey in the future!
Junjou no Afilia
Almost the same for Junjou no Afilia—we met them at their first one-man live of 2025 on January 5th at Zepp Shinjuku. You can read our full report here!
Always bursting with energy, this seven-member magical idol group captivated the audience with their energetic songs and choreography, just as they always do.
A fun fact from that day: at the end of the morning show, while we were waiting to take the group photo and right after taking it, the members suddenly began singing the French song 'Aux Champs-Élysées' on their way to the tokutenkai (特典会, or merchandising selling sessions)!
Next⭐︎Rico
The highlight of the day, and the main reason we chose to attend this event, was finally meeting the members of the idol group Next⭐︎Rico.
Originally set to debut in early 2020, their launch was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic. They made their debut at the end of July that same year under the name Stand Up! Next.
In November 2021, the group rebranded and became Next⭐︎Rico, as they are known today. Note that the group is produced by former Afilia Saga and Junjou no Afilia member Aomi Maho, who is also part of the lineup from 2024 and the second generation members!
We were truly happy and excited to finally see them perform on stage, and we were captivated by the fresh energy the members brought—especially with their debut single, Koi suru Chaplin.
So, here’s our long-awaited first encounter with Next⭐︎Rico, which we are thrilled to introduce to the Bonjour Idol community! We also had the chance to attend their second one-man live on March 1, so stay tuned for more photos and our full report!
Rabbitbit (ラビットビット)
Formed in 2022, Rabbitbit (ラビットビット) was definitely one of the surprises of the day for us! We hadn’t heard of them before attending the event, but we were really impressed by their energy on stage. With their EDM-infused kawaii pop setlist, they are definitely becoming one of our new recommendations if you are into groups like FES⭐︎TIVE or Appare!.
All their fans had such a great time during their performance, dancing and singing the calls, creating a fantastic atmosphere!
It’s a must-have group for your playlist! We hope to properly introduce them on Bonjour Idol in the future!
Gran⭐︎Ciel (グラン・シエル)
Rebranded under the new name Gran⭐︎Ciel in 2021, the group Jewel⭐︎Ciel originally debuted in 2018 under the label and company Arc Jewel Entertainment, which is well-known for producing famous acts like Luce Twinkle Wink⭐︎ and Ange⭐︎Reve.
Their music can be compared to the classics, yet with a high-quality touch, much like AKB48 songs or Nogizaka46 bops.
Their costumes have a certain 46-groups series vibe, which elevates their performance right from the start of the show.
A must-recommend for your playlist if you love classic idol groups!
Purely Monster (ピュアリーモンスター)
Despite the fact that Purely Monster is part of the Stand-Up! Records label, we haven’t had the opportunity to photograph them in the past years. So, we’re happy to finally introduce them to you in this article!
They debuted in 2017 as the first voice acting unit from the label! Fully dedicated to both voice acting and idol activities, they continue to captivate their fans.
BANZAI JAPAN
We no longer need to introduce them, BANZAI JAPAN was also part of the party!
