Five years ago, we were happy and thrilled to meet the idol group Gunjou no Sekai for their first-anniversary live performance on December 23th 2019 at Shibuya Stream Hall.

At that time, the group was still young and very promising, with a solid discography reminiscent of the Sakamichi groups, such as Nogizaka46, and a remarkable energy on stage.

A lot happened for the group while we at BONJOUR IDOL were on a break from our activities. The original group announced their disbandment in November 2023, set to take effect in December. However, in July of the following year, they surprised fans by announcing their come-back.

Finally, the new lineup—composed of Honda Tomoha, Fujiyoshi Yui, Tsuji Karin, Fukuhara Yuyuka, and Kosaka Airi—debuted on September 12 at Ebisu LIQUIDROOM.

Last January 21st, the group was going to hold a one-man live as the conclusion to their Osaka-Nagoya-Tokyo tour. We immediately took the opportunity to see the new lineup perform on stage! The concert took place at Spotify O-West in Shibuya, and the venue was completely packed.

We had the chance to take a group picture right before the beginning of the show, and all members looked extremely excited and ready to give their best for their tour finale. A total of 17 songs was played during the show, including the encore.

Their new single, "Koko Kara," set to be released on February 18, opened the show, signaling the start of a magical evening. Since the setlist was mostly composed of songs released over the years, we came across many nostalgic tracks such as "BLUE OVER", "Gomen Suki ni Natte", "However Long", "Mirai Silhouette", and even "Saishuushou no Nai Story". As most fans were familiar with the songs, the atmosphere was electric, filled with intense fan calls and enthusiastic hand clapping.

The performance of the iconic "Melodrama" left us speechless, but overall, we were especially impressed by the five new members. They demonstrated strong singing and dancing skills, carrying a powerful and determined spirit throughout the entire show. We could feel their desire to deliver a great performance and prove that they can surpass their predecessors—an excellent sign for the future.

At the end of the show, a series of announcements were made!

First, the release of their current songs on music streaming platforms, including the album "Bokura no Ao" and the single "Koko Kara".

Secondly, a new Spring Kanto Tour featuring a total of five shows, as well as a new regular performance series called "BLUE", with five shows scheduled until August 21 this year at Spotify O-NEST!

Seeing that a group we discovered years ago is still active in the idol scene, now with a fresh new lineup, truly warmed our hearts. We were delighted to meet the five members and will continue to follow their journey in the idol world in Japan.

We look forward to seeing them again in 2025!
